Two people joining up to bring their complementary skills to solving a problem or driving *innovation—get little attention.
I'm not so sure, but it has to do with the verb join, which is in the continuous form. Let's wait for more replies.

another confusion on ING verbs I have seen the following sentence this morning.
Two people joining up to bring their complementary skills to solving a problem or driving innovation—get little attention.
In the above sentence why it says “to solving” ? can’t we say “to solve” ? what is the grammar rule ?
