1. apart from...; aside from... - AmE
2. apart from... (not aside from) - BrE

In BrE we can use 'aside from'- I wouldn't say 'aside from John', but I would say 'aside from that'.![]()

I wouldn't say it would be an error, but it would be a much less common collocation in BrE.![]()
