Hello! I'm learning English and now I'm writing to you for the first time to ask about using articles. I'm working on my essay and there are two sentences where I use indefinite articles but I'm not sure if it is right. Here they are:
1. A true friend is a person who loves you despite the fact that you are not ideal, and you have some shortcomings or sometimes make mistakes.
2. Christian Nestell Bovee, a French writer, said: “Kindness is a language the dumb can speak and the deaf can hear and understand.”
I hope you'll help me. Thank you
Hi Masha, your use of articles looks good to me. I would modify your first sentence slightly...
1. A true friend is a person who loves you despite the fact that you are not perfect. You may have some shortcomings or sometimes make mistakes.
Hope that helps
Jeremy
