    Hi teachers,
    1) They used to live in a flat damp but recently they improved their living conditions.
    What does "damp flat" mean?

    If you mean '...a small, damp flat', it's a tiny apartment affected by moisture in the air or on surfaces, detrimental to health and comfort.
