Default talk of/ talk about

Can they be used interchangeably?
And whatever the answer may be, does it go the same with learn of/about, tell of/about?

Often 'about' implies more detail and 'of' just the basics. With 'talk', I feel the distinction is less clear- sometimes they are unsed interchangeably.
