    "The car was judged by appearance."
    "The car was judged by appearances."
    "The car was judged by look."
    "The car was judged by looks."

    The first two sentences are correct English. What about the last two?

    None of your sentences sounds natural to me. I'd expect to see something like this, "'Judging by its appearance, I'd say this car hasn't been very well looked after".
