Show them the research, experiment with your colleagues, and remember: it only takes one effective communicator---one compassionate leader or teacher---to cause a roomful of language-based brains to resonate to the quality of your speech.

Is this saying "one effective communicator is enough to cause all the people with language-based brains in a room to empathize with your speech, (that is, you should get the help of one effective communicator)", or "You yourself should be an effective communicator to make all the people in a room resonate to your speech"?

I don't think it's particularly twisted. It's long-winded.

I dislike the phrase "resonate to the quality of your speech" very much. It sounds phony and I don't understand what it really means in the context. I see they used "resonate/resonance" three times in this article. (Link.)
