    Default resolution?

    Are both sentences correct? Does one need to put "is" before "in sight"? Thank you.

    (1) The riot in Europe is still ongoing and no resolution in sight.

    (2) The riot in Europe is still ongoing and no resolution is in sight.

    Riots don't have resolutions.

    Either "with no resolution in sight" or "and no resolution is in sight" would be correct in some other sentence. Like "the strike continues into its 4th week with no resolution in sight."
