They are abstract nouns. You can't touch them or see them or hear them.

Thought and experience are also abstract nouns, but you can certainly pluralize them. You can have one thought or more than one thought. You can have one experience or more than one experience.

Did I understand your question?

Say: you've done a good job. Or: you did a good job.

What do xixi and la mean there?

BTW, your signature quote is incorrect (and a touch provocative).

Are you talking about:
  • I hate the Chinese government, which is an authoritarian government. All Communists deserve to be punished.

So, you think that's provocative?

They don't exactly have free speech in China, so it is possibly somewhat liberating to be able to say that on this forum.

:)

[Edited to capitalize Communists.]

I did have that in mind. I don't want to see things firing up here, not after what we've seen elsewhere.

Unless some Communists object, I don't think there is going to be a problem.

(My apologies to eric2004 for "fixing" his prose.)
