Your sentences do not need 'does' at all.

1) My friend's mother's name is Candy.

2) Is your mother's name Candy?

"DOES YOUR MOTHERS NAME IS CANDY?" This is incorrect English. "Is your mother's name Candy?" Is the correct way to ask the question, "does" has no place here.

I believe that confusion about questions is one of the biggest problems faced by learners.

I think that it would help you if you remembered this:

The verb "to be" is very special. When you make a question, just reverse the words:

"Tom is sick" becomes "Is Tom sick?"
"They are nice" becomes "Are they nice?"
"The restaurant's name is 'Good Eats' " becomes "Is the restaurant's name 'Good Eats'?"

When you make questions with other verbs, the English people decided many, many years ago to use the word "do/

does/ did":

"Mona loves English" becomes "Does Mona love English?"
"He ate a hamburger" becomes "Did he eat a hamburger?"

If a sentence has an auxiliary, just move the auxiliary to the front:

"Tom will go" becomes "Will Tom go?" (NO need for "does")
"We can speak English" becomes "Can we speak English?" (No need for "do")
"Martha had eaten a hamburger" becomes "Had Martha eaten a hamburger?" (No need for "did")
