Which sounds more natural?

Hi, teachers and students.

I'd like to know if two "sees" in the two sentences below have the same meaning.

#1 These days you rarely see children playing in the streets or in the parks.
#2 These days you rarely see children who are playing in the streets or in the parks.

Is there any difference between the two?
(I suspect that "see" in #1 has the similar meaning "notice" and the one in #2 "meet by chance".)

There's no difference in meaning whatever. Of course you could try to interpret the second sentence as you do, but on first attention -- an dthis is what matters -- there's no difference.

The first sentence is much more common.
