I haven't gone to the casino as often as I used to.
Someone said this to me: I haven't gone to the casino as often as I used to.
My question is ;does the sentence sound correct English to you?
I would take it as he does not go to the casino as often as he used to. But his usage of the present perfect tense sounds a bit wrong to me. What do you think of it?

(Not a Teacher)
I agree that present perfect doesn't sound quite right.
It would sound better if it were progressive. (I haven't been going to the casino as often as I used to.)
Simple present is also fine here, too. (I don't go to the casino as often as I used to.)
Re: I haven't gone to the casino as often as I used to.
It's OK, but I prefer the progressive form or the present simple.
