HELP! the usage of 'by those of a competing corporation"
Hi I couldn't figure out this sentence. Anyone can help me explain the sentence in plain English. What does it mean??
'Their plans were overshadowed by those of a competing corporation'.
-'By those of'' -Is it kind of usage?
-'those(plural) of' +a(singular) competing corporation'??? Why???
And how to use (by+those of..) and can you give some examples, please. I really don't know how to use or explain this sentence!
Re: HELP! the usage of 'by those of a competing corporation"
