I would like to know if there is any difference between these expressions:
1. in the hospital
at the hospital
2. in the school
at school
AT the hospital is a general location, so is more likely to be used for a patient who is being treated, but not staying. IN is more likely to be used for a patient staying or someone employed there.![]()
To my knowledge, ' at ' signifies only a location :)
It is a location, but not a very specific one.![]()
