    Question Hi or Hi,

When writing a letter or note to someone, which is correct?

    Hi John

    or

    Hi, John

In other words, do you use a comma after "Hi"?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have never received a letter with 'Hi, John'. (Probably because I'm not John )

    Regards

    Default Re: Hi or Hi,

I agree with Nyggus- we put a comma before a name when we are addressing someone.
