Irregular Plurals
Hello, I am wondering what troubles ESL students often have with using irregular plurals. Are there any journal articles on this topic?
Thanks,

Firstly, at lower levels, there are problems with the forms, like -en, or ones that don't change. At intermediate levels there are problems sometimes with apostrophes:
people's (this causes trouble for some as it looks singular. then you can move onto complex forms such as 'a people' and 'peoples. Or 'persons'. ;-
