so I could take if off
This "so I could take if off" was used as a purpose even with a comma. When a comma is accompanied, it's usually a result. So in this case, do I have to judge from the context?

Keannu, most native speakers are rather less concerned about the finer points of punctuation that you. Use context and common sense first, 'rules' last, when it comes to working out what people mean.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
