He said that she would have been intheLondon. (This means that something had happened and at the time of speaking the person's plans to go to London had gone wrong.)

What difference do you native English speakers feel between them? I am sorry about dragging this issue out on and on, but if this is solved, I can feel that there will be no problem from now on. Please help me out and give me mercy
