Don't get yourself involved with the accident.
My friend witnesses an auto accident. When police come, he would like to tell them what he has seen. But I don't want him to. (It's quite common in China people don't like to testify.)
Can I say: don't get yourself involved with the accident.
Does the phrase 'involved with' make sense in the context? Thank you.

Just say "Don't get involved".
Re: Don't get yourself involved with the accident.
In this case the witness, whether testifying or not, is not involved with the accident. 'Don't get involved' is perfectly clear.
