This is for a listening/reading comprehension exercise.
Context:
Felix sat down and smiled at Marta. ‘Now, Marta,’ he said. ‘Somebody saw a young man in your house yesterday. Who was he, Marta, and where did he go?’
Would the following be a suitable question and answer?
What did Felix want to know?
He wanted to know who the man in her house had been and where he had gone.
