In a few weeks ago,in of my lessons I think I've made an awful mistake!I am writing just to learn if it was really a mistake(I hope not!).May the other answer be also true? Thanks by now...
The question was:''When is your birthday?''(I know it's very easy but...)
---It's on the second of march(nineteen eighty five-Is it necessary to write this as an answer to this question?-the year)
OR
---It's on 2nd March 1985(but just to teach the written form I didn't write like that.Iwrote the first one on the blackboard)
*My problem is:Is it also possible?
---It's the second of march.
All in all with or without ''on'' or both can be possible?
---It's on the second of march(nineteen eighty five-Is it necessary to write this as an answer to this question?-the year) There's no need for the year- the question is about your birthday, not when you were born. ---It's on 2nd March ---It's the second of march These forms are both fine as well.
Thank you very much for your reply!I feel better now.Learning that I haven't made a mistake relaxed me.thanks again...
You're welcome, Yuftos.![]()
