I would call it "two to the fourth power" or "two to the fourth."
You could say "raised to the..." You can't say "put."
Suppose I multiply the number 2 with the number 2, then multiply that result with the number 2, then multiply that result with the number 2:
(2 X 2 X 2 X 2)
How do I write this in English?
"Two put to the power of four"
"Two put to the fourth power "
"Two raised to the power of four"
"Two raised to the fourth power"

If I remember back to my maths classes, I was taught "two to the power of four".
Two
Two squared
Two cubed
Two to the power of four
Two to the power of five
Etc
