would rather
Are these sentences correct:
1-I would rather stay home yesterday.
2-I would rather have stayed home yesterday.
3-I would have rather stayed home yesterday.
In which case:
a-I wish that I had stayed home yesterday but I did not.
in which:
b-I wanted to stay home yesterday.
and in which:
c-I wanted to stay home yesterday, but I did not.
Gratefully,
Navi.

2 and 3 have the same meaning, #2 is better. #1 is wrong.

Re: would rather
Thanks a lot Bhaisahab.
And "2" and "3" both mean "c", right?
Gratefully,
Navi.
