I was just wondering whether the omission of "any" in the following sentence: "have you got brothers and sisters?" made it agrammatical or is it just a more familiar way that could be used by English native speakers?

It's OK grammatically but the most common and natural question (in BrE) is "Have you got any brothers and/or sisters?"

Yours was a very happy post but there's really no need for bullet points and smiley faces. If I had wanted to quote your question in my reply I would have deleted them.

In AmE (my estimate) "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" (75%) Do you have brothers or sisters?"(25%), but, as always, would depend on context.
