    Default would have liked us to meet/to have met

    Is there a difference between the meanings of:
    1-Yesterday, he would have liked you and I to meet.
    and:
    2-Yesterday, he would have liked you and I to have met.

    Does 2 imply that he would have liked the meeting to have taken place before yesterday?

    They both mean the same thing to me. Personally, I'd put 'yesterday' at the end of the sentence.
