Comparison with adjectives
Martin Hewings has given the following example about the comparison with adjectives in the book “Advanced Grammar In Use”:
She was as patient a teacher as anyone could have had.
I want to know whether we could write the sentence in the following form?
She was a teacher as patient as anyone could have had.

The rewrite is OK, but the original sounds more natural to me.
