fetch as a noun

Can you use fetch as a noun in the meaning of double, counterpart to someone? Have you ever come across such meaning of this word?

I hadn't, but Merriam-Webster and the American Heritage dictionary both give it. Interestingly, the AHD says it's chiefly British, though I am a BrE speaker and I had never heard of it.
