periods & apostrophes

2 questions:
1) When writing a sentence ending with the word Jr. do you put a period after Jr. AND a period for the end of the sentence? Or do you only put one?

2) What is the rule about apostrophes after names that end with an s? (ex. something that belongs to Wes or Jesus)

1- I'd go for the single period. In fact, I wouldn't put a period after Jr because I'm a British speaker, but I think two periods would be unnecessary.
2- Some say that English first names should take -'s and foreign names -', but you will see James's and James' being used.
