I have the feeling that this sentence is incorrect. I would write it the following way, “. . . . .
should ensure the financial success of the centre.”
Is the original sentence acceptable? And what about my version?
Thank you in advance.
I can think of four ways to word this. The first is exactly as it was written (although I admit I had to read it three times before realising that it was actually correct because it's not a very commonly-used construction).
1) ... should ensure the centre financial success.
2) ... should ensure the centre's financial success.
3) ... should ensure financial success for the centre.
4) ... should ensure the financial success of the centre. (Your suggestion)
