Default Differences between posh and snob

I would like to know the differences between posh and snob.
If you call somebody "posh", are you insulting her?
Does "posh" have something to do with the way you wear? And what about snob?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi.
    Perhap I can help.
If you call someone 'posh' you are not insulting them. You are telling them they are wearing smart, elegant clothing. 'Posh' can also mean someone who is upper-class or genteel. A person can also have a posh car, or live in a posh house, or go to posh restaurants and so on.
On the other hand, a snob is a person who tries to be like those who belong to a higher social status, and behaves as though he better than everyone else. You could also say this person looks down his nose at other people.
    Hope this helps.
