Edit - I'm confused

At first I want to say hello :) It's my first time here ;)
I am not english and got a problem with translation (or rather a little quarrel with someone). Suppose we've got the picture which describes some process. I don't know how to write the name of the process. There is some data which need to be changed.
Should I write: "data edition" or "data editing" ?

PS - please forgive me simple question but I think that it's the best place to ask.

Sure. There is a form (it's a web page) where user need to put some data (name, surname, address...)

In that case, they would be inputting data as they start with an empty form- editing would be udpating or correcting the data.
