Default phrasal verbs

hi
can u tell me the corespondent phrasal verb for these verbs, and if it1s correct for the others:
1) start learning
2) avoiding
3) received
4) abandon
5) refused - turn down
6) recovered consciousness
registering - check in
arrived - came in
progressing - making out

There are various possibilities, but here are a few
Start learning- take up
Recover consciousness - come round
Avoid- stay away (from a place)
Progress- move forward

because i`m romanian and i only study english, and i do a lot of exercise but i dont have the oportunity to talk very much it`s to come up with corespondent for every verb.
