    Some believe that we cannot concentrate on our work because we get more stress from criticism of others.

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    More stress than from what? I think the sentence is either not complete (more steress from... than from...) or there should be another sentence before it to make the context clear.
