I'm looking for a verb that is explained below, but I'm not sure if it exists in English. Because it's difficult to say what I'm looking for, I'd like to give an example.
The verb "dress" can be used in two different ways (transitive and intransitive).
1. I dressed as fast as I could. (put clothes on yourself)
2. I dressed the children and left. (put clothes on another person)
Now the question:
When we are on a bus and we know where we want to get out of the bus, we say "I got off the bus at the bus stop on the 3rd St.". But what do we say when we don't know the address and ask the driver to tell us where we should get out of the bus? Can we say "Excuse me, please get me off the bus on the 3rd St."? How about taxis?

I have no idea what your question about bus stops and taxis has to do with getting dressed but never mind!

Tom3m's suggestion of "drop off" works in taxis, but buses can't just drop you off wherever you happen to be going. They can only stop at designated bus stops on their route.

If you don't know exactly which stop you need, you will have to say to the driver something like "I need to get off on 3rd Street. Please let me know when we get there". If you're going to a particular landmark, and it's one that the bus driver is likely to know, you can say something like "I want to go to the Houses of Parliament. Can you tell me when we get to the closest bus stop please?"

With a taxi in the UK, if you don't know the exact address you're going to, the driver won't be very impressed!
