They are rarely used in the progressive forms, but they do occur occasionally. I wouldn't classify them as dynamic because the forms are rare- maybe they're part-timers.

wanted and needed hi, i think that wanted and needed are dynamic verbs, but i have been told by a freind that they aren't? can you settle this little argument for us please?
