    Default The fire suddenly flushed in the thickets

    Can I say "The fire suddenly flushed in the thickets"? Or it would be better to use some other verb like "flare", "flush", "break out" or something else?

    'Flushed' doesn't work. 'Flared' and 'broke out' do.
