Re: adjectives
1-They drug the animal and then capture it asleep.
Not good. Try:
- They dragged the animal, and then they captured it while it was asleep.
2-They drug the animal and then capture it weakened.
Try:
- They drugged the animal, and then they captured it while it was in a weakened state.
3-They drug the animal and then capture it lying on the ground.
Try:
- They drugged the animal, and then they captured it while it was lying on the ground.
4-They attacked him alone. (when he was alone)
No. You shouldn't need alone there in any case. The context of a story should supply the necessary details. Example:
- He was walking through the alley by himself when they attacked him.
Or:
- They waited for him as he walked down the alley by himself. When he saw them they attacked him.
5-They attacked him asleep. (when he was asleep)
No. Try:
- They attacked him while he slept.
6-They talked to him alone. (when he was alone)
That's not so bad, but who was alone--him or them? Ask yourself if you really need alone there.
7-They moved toward him alone. (when he was alone)
No, you can't use that. In any case, the context of a story should supply the important details. Don't try to do everything with one sentence.
