Default is "in" necessary?

hi, is the word in necessary here?
1. Is there any hotel I can live in?
2. Is there any hotel I can live?

Yes, 'in' is needed with live. But you should also change 'any' to 'a'.
Is there a hotel I can live in?
Or you can make it plural and then use 'any' -
Are there any hotels I can live in?
