"stop flying and settle down"
On that idea, I recently had a conversation with a close man-friend of mine. He may be described as the definitive leader of Lost Boys. At least, he might have been, were it not for the new Wendy-lady in his life. Suddenly, the serial playmaker had found a reason to stop flying and settle down.

To make sense of this text you would have to understand that "Wendy" and "flying" are related to a novel called "Peter Pan". Peter led a group of boys called the Lost Boys in a place called Neverland. Peter did not want to mature. Today, a man who does want to mature is referred to as having a Peter Pan complex. This man had found a woman who he is willing to change his lifestyle for - he will quit being a boy and settle down.
