While I know that most people would not use a direct object after 'return', I'm wondering if it is wrong to do so:
(more commonly)
Will you return the book to him/me/the library?
(acceptable?)
Will you return me my book?
Will you return me?
Would you like to return me the...?

These are fine to me.

This doesn't work- you could dream up a context where you are physically going to return me somewhere, but it's unlikely.![]()
