Dear teachers,
Could you please check the sentence below:
Therefore, we ask for your assistance in securing the above sections of the report from the contractor in the format compliant with the building codes. Is it clear that by 'securing' I mean 'forcing the contractor to provide the sections of the report in the format that is required by the codes'? The style of the letter should be formal.

I would use "obtaining" rather than "securing".
