Is it all right to use "drafts of a lesson" for "lesson plans"? Do both collocations sound natural? E.g.
The first days of teaching practice she spent collecting data about the school and the children of her four classes, visiting lessons, preparing drafts of lessons for the coming week and generally getting to know the staff and the way around.
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up.)
