    Default not to

    Hello,

    1. Why are you trying to convince her not to be our intern.

    2. Why are you trying to convince her to not be our intern.

We can use both sentences in a very specific context where we need to put heavy stress on the word 'not', is that right?

Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
Your thread title should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.
