Tell me about it
If you use this expression "Tell me about it" doest it mean that your interlocutor has mentioned something that you already know and you do not need anyone to tell you about something that you have experienced yourself.
- This is not the safest place.
- Tell me about it! That red-skin fellow could have killed me!

It could be used that way, but it doesn't have to be. "Tell me about it" could be a serious statement. For example, "I was there when the airplane crashed". "Oh, tell me about it".

Are there any other expression for this case?
