    Default he would go

    1) He said that soon he would go to the USA to act in a new film.
    OR
    2) He said that soon he would be going to America to act in a new film.
    OR
    3) He said that soon he was going to America to act in a new film.

Which sounds better? As many grammar books say, will (would) can't be used to talk about planned actions (as in the first sentence). So,the 1st sentence's grammar is wrong?
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up.)

All three are possible. #1 is less likely.

I have read this from other posters. Where did you read this rule? Are you saying that one cannot say, "I will go tomorrow."?
