    Default who are

    Hello,

Let's assume that I am giving a party 2 days later, and I am asking my best friend who will come.

Me: Michael, Linda, Hans and Alyona are coming, is that right?

    My best friend
    : Yes.

    Me
: Do you know who else are coming to party except these people? (Of course, I know that there are some people are coming).

My question is that must I use 'is or are' after 'who' because I know that there is more than one person.

    Thanks.

"Is." Use the singular with "who" unless it's referring to something explicitly plural. "Who are the people in your neighborhood?" "Who are the men who are going to stop me?"

And you mean "besides" these people, not "except."

Thanks for the answers. I have one more question about it. Can we include 'what and which' in this?

    E.g. What make us moral?

    Which make man remember.....?
