    Default set aside childish things

    Does this "set aside" refer to "to put something to one aside" or "dismiss from mind"? The latter sounds stronger.

    g14)A popular saying claims that once we grow up we must set aside childish things. Yet modern adults enjoy downloading cell phone ringtones, playing video games, and visiting amusement parks just as much as kids do...

    Effectively it means both. However, it has more of a permanent ring to it so it would mean "set something to one side forever", "don't look at it again".
