Default A dictionary is needed, please.

"And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?"

I need a dictionary in which I can find the figurative meanings for speck and log. Will you help me, please? Also, I receive Daily Devotion that need to be dealt with correctly when it comes to word meaning.

    Thank you,

It's Matthew 7:3 from the Bible. A "speck" is a little piece. In this case a little piece of wood, like sawdust. The "log" would be an entire large piece of a tree.

The point is that one should not worry about the small problems or faults that others have, since you have much larger faults of your own.
