gone vs been
Please help me I need your assistance becuase I have a confusion to construe a sentence.
When I visisted to my friend who lived in Malasia. I asked a question to him.
How long have you been here?
He said . I have been living here for a long time.
Please tell me whether my question is correct or not. Because he is living there not leave the destination.
gone = he was there not come
been = he was there not now come.
