Default 'more typical of'

Please help me.
The incubation time until the bottle for these 25 collections turned positive tended to be long and more typical of false-positive results.
Does this mean that long incubation time is more typical of false-positive results than positive results?
If not, what does ‘more typical of …’ mean?

Yes, it does- these positive collections behaved more like false-positive ones.
